Alistair has been a professional photographer since 1999. His images have appeared globally in newspapers, magazines, websites, television, and film.

One of his earliest achievements was the implementation of a voluntary organisation called the Rousseau Bureau, a Prince's trust sponsored organisation. Through seminars and a photography lecture programme, he was able to give 'students' from a variety of social, educational and economic backgrounds the opportunity to pursue a variety of independent projects. Through the programme, students developed a showcase of skills, experiences, and products suitable for the professional world.

Alistair has given public lectures discussing contemporary and historical photographic issues. He has also given seminars about his own work; including at London's Whitechapel Art Gallery.

Alistair completed his degree in Documentary Photography at the internationally acclaimed University Wales College Newport, Gwent. He served as Course Representative between 1997 and 1999.

His final year exhibition was titled 'The Urban Cleansing Operatives' and was independently shown at Newport's Museum gallery.

Alistair studied the vocational B-Tec National Diploma at Richmond Upon Thames College in London, where he developed advanced lighting skills including advertising and commercial photography.
